Victoria Harbour Views from the IFC Mall Roof Garden
18 June, 2009 Thursday
With all the shopping malls in Hong Kong, I didn't even realise until recently that I'd never been into the IFC Mall, which is located over the Hong Kong MTR station.
The mall space connects the two IFC towers and though I can't admit to anything being particularly spectacular within its retail space (all the shops inside seem to exist in most other shopping areas), the fourth and top floor does have an accessible roof garden.
There are a few restaurants and bars there if the night takes your fancy for an outdoor meal or drink, but you can equally wander around as we did this evening and check out the views across Victoria Harbour.
The rooftop also seems to be a popular place for photos with couples and groups of people dotted around posing in front of bulb lighting and illuminated sculptures such as this colourful block.
In February 2009, Mark and Linh moved from the UK to the Far East to spend 16 months living in Hong Kong and traveling around East Asia. This website documents their journey.
