Underground Shopping Malls in Seoul

Seoul appears to have quite a few underground shopping malls and we came across the first of these in the subway tunnels around Dongdaemun station. The underground routes also provide a passage across the busy roads above.

The shops were varied although seemed to follow the formula shown in products sold generally in Dongdaemun Market. There were lots of shoe and clothes stores as well as utility shops selling accessories.

Without a proper shop space, vendors selling on the staircases down to such underground shopping malls were also common.
