Tame Wild Bird in the New Territories
01 October, 2009
Thursday
One day, just before we left Hong Kong to visit Singapore and Malaysia, we found this fella hanging around our front yard.

At first, we thought he was injured as he didn't fly away when we approached him, but something else must have been up as there didn't seem to be anything visibly wrong, physically. He didn't even flinch when our hands went near.

We put out some bread and water and he did go for it, so no idea whether this bird was just tame or what. We saw him stop eating after awhile and just sit there on the ground, but just before the sun set, he disappeared.

Anyone know what bird this was and why it appeared to be so tame? This happened at our country village home in the New Territories, Hong Kong.
