Indoor Theme Park at the Berjaya Times Square Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur
24 September, 2009 Thursday
The Berjaya Times Square complex opened in October 2003 and apparently holds the accolade of being the "world's largest building ever built in a single phase", with 7.5 million square feet of built up floor area. We dropped in for a spot of window shopping as the monorail convenient stopped there at Imbi station.
Berjaya offered shopping, luxury accommodation, business, food and entertainment with the latter consisting of Asia's largest indoor theme park, Cosmo's World.
The complex was actually big enough to hide the park which is hidden away up several floors on one side, but the screams and rumble of the roller coaster didn't escape us.
Incidently, the Berjaya Times Square also has the largest Borders book store in the world.
I quite liked the ornate foyer floor of the front entrance.
In February 2009, Mark and Linh moved from the UK to the Far East to spend 16 months living in Hong Kong and traveling around East Asia. This website documents their journey.
