MangoVine - Colourful, Flower Decked Malacca Trishaws

Touristy rickshaws are a dim a dozen in most East Asian sight-seeing hotspots, but nothing can out-rickshaw the Malacca Trishaws! Colourful, flower-decked trishaws, blasting out electro-pop roam the old city driven by flambuoyant riders.

When we first arrived at our hotel in Malacca, I caught sight of a couple of these at a distance and frantically tried to get a focused snap of them. Of course, after that, I had plenty of opportunity to photograph them. They're everywhere in Malacca!

Check out this short video below shot at night, where you can see its almost xmas with all the lighting decor these fancy vehicles harbour.

Above are a couple of trishaws driving down Jonker Street and below, one passed with a passenger along a parallel street.

I got a close-up down a backstreet next to a garage for these trishaws.

A few trishaws awaited passengers outside the Dataran Pahlawan Shopping complex.

Most trishaws however, congregated around the town square.
