Christmas can be a magical time in almost any city and Bangkok was no exception considering how many shopping malls and crowds there are. I'm always surprised by the scale of Christmas decorations and Bangkok dishes them out in spades in front of seemingly all the major malls.
During our stay in Bangkok, we spent a bit of time between the Chitlom BTS Skytrain station and the Central World shopping plaza, both connected by an elevated walkway which incidentally also give access to several more shopping malls along the way.
These included the Amarin Plaza, Gaysorn, and the Siam Discovery Centre. From the walkway, you can see plenty of Christmas displays such as in the photos below.
The theme this year (or perhaps every year?) seems to be "supersize" and Linh shows her reaction to that.
In February 2009, Mark and Linh moved from the UK to the Far East to spend 16 months living in Hong Kong and traveling around East Asia. This website documents their journey.
